Charles received his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego in 2011, graduating
magna cum laude, and received his Juris Doctor,
cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2014. Charles began his
legal career clerking for the Chisago County Attorney's Office where
he worked on numerous cases ranging from petty misdemeanor traffic tickets
to serious felonies. While in law school Charles participated in the Misdemeanor
Prosecution Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School. The time
spent at this clinic allowed Charles to gain genuine courtroom experience
with criminal cases. During law school Charles also was an instructor
and member of the Civil Rights National Moot Court team and competed in
the McGee Civil Rights Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.
Charles has been with Caplan & Tamburino since 2012. While completing
law school Charles worked as a law clerk for the firm. Charles has now
joined the firm as an associate attorney where he puts his collective
criminal law experience to use every day. Charles prides himself on his
constant desire to meet and exceed client expectations at every turn.
