Religious Headwear Comes to Minnesota Jails

The societal and legal issues surrounding the wearing of religious garments have now reached into our jails. On March 20 th, 2014 Hennepin County Sheriff Richard Stanek announced that Hennepin County Jail will allow inmates to wear jail-issued headscarves, yarmulkes and kufi hats.
