Joe Tamburino to Speak at 2017 Criminal Justice Institute on Title IX Cases

Joe Tamburino

Caplan & Tamburino Law Firm, P.A. Partner Joe Tamburino will be a featured speaker at the upcoming 2017 Criminal Justice Institute. The seminar will take place Tuesday and Wednesday (August 22 – 23) at the Minnesota CLE Conference Center on the third floor of the City Center in downtown Minneapolis. Attorney Tamburino will be speaking during a session on Tuesday at 3:45 pm on the topic of Title IX cases.

The Criminal Justice Institute is an annual legal professional seminar that draws attorneys from across the region who earn continuing legal education (CLE) credits – a requirement for maintaining the ability to practice law – by attending sessions and lectures taught by Minnesota’s top criminal defense lawyers, judges, and experts.

Mr. Tamburino’s invitation to lecture at the upcoming seminar speaks volumes about the respect he has cultivated throughout the legal community, and establishes him as an authority who possesses the wide breadth of experience and insight needed to help his legal peers further their understanding of issues in criminal law. Mr. Tamburino regularly speaks at these types of events, sharing his insight on a range of topics.

As part of this year’s lecture, Attorney Tamburino will be focusing on Title IX cases, which are those involving collegiate and university disciplinary hearings on sexual violence and misconduct accusations. These cases have proliferated in recent years, and because they are conducted in accordance to rules outside of the traditional criminal justice system, they demand representation from attorneys who have a solid understanding of the process. Mr. Tamburino has successfully led our firm in handling many Title IX defense cases on behalf of clients at various schools and universities across the state, and is a perfect fit for instructing the upcoming lecture.
