It’s estimated that only 2.5% of all attorneys in each state and practice area will be selected to the Rising Stars list each year, which recognizes exceptional work by attorneys under the age of 40. Additionally, only 5% of all practicing lawyers over the age of 40 (or with at least 10 years in practice) may be chosen to the Super Lawyers list in their field and region. That so many of our attorneys continue to be chosen for these awards speaks to our firm’s powerful reputation as a premier law firm.
About the Super Lawyers Selection Process
Among the many legal ranking organizations out there, Super Lawyers is known for its patented multiphase selection process. In order to be considered for Super Lawyers or Rising Stars, an attorney must first be nominated by peers within their field. Then, the independent research team at Super Lawyers evaluates each candidate on 12 indicators of professional success, including important factors like experience, licenses and certifications, and verdicts and settlements. Those with the highest scores from this evaluation stage will once again be reviewed by their peers on the Blue Ribbon Panel, composed of the top lawyers in each area.
